The Kitsap Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America is located in Kitsap County, Washington. The Chapter provides and opportunity to renew old friendships and acquaintances, stay up to date on local and national issues through guest speakers at Chapter social functions and an opportunity for sustained military camaraderie..
The Chapter solicits members from Kitsap County, Jefferson County and northern Mason County. All active duty , retired and former officers of all military services and National Guard and Reserves are eligible for membership.
The Chapter regularly meets the fourth Friday of the month except in July and November when there is no meeting. The other exceptions are Armed Forces Day in May, the annual picnic in August and a joint holiday luncheon with the Retired Officers Wives Association.
For thirty-one years the Chapter has been recognizing junior officers from the Kitsap area at it’s Armed Forces Day luncheon. 2008 honorees are pictured below. RDML James Symonds, USN was the Guest Speaker
The Chapter established the William O. Turnbull Award in 2005. This award is presented to the outstanding NJROTC cadets from the Bremerton and South Kitsap High Schools. The 2008 recipients were c/LCDR Brian Davis from Bremerton High School and c/lLT Sarah Brown from South Kitsap High School. They were selected by their NJROTC Advisors because of their outstanding scholastic and leadership achievements.

We gather for our annual picnic in August of each year and a good time is had by all.
If you are not a member and are eligible for membership and happen upon this Web site, we encourage you to apply for membership in our Chapter.
